When Chelsea Clinton spoke at INBOUND 2015 in Boston last week, she said,
“Caricatured as navel-gazers, Millenials are said to live for their ‘likes’ and status updates. But the young people I know often leverage social media in selfless ways.”
Clinton offers much more of this stereotype-busting inspiration in her new book, “It’s Your World: Get Informed, Get Inspired & Get Going.” It’s written for readers age 10 and up, about her take on facing current challenges and how to impact your community.
It also includes stories from real-life kids and teens who have made differences – big and small – in the world around them. Her book is out today, so make sure to check it out!
Clinton has done extensive work with her family’s foundation, and the No Ceilings initiative. It has analyzed 20 years’ worth of data on the status of women and girls worldwide, and found that, though improving, there is still work to be done to close the gender gap.
Clinton said “The evidence really shows that where countries have invested in women and girls, societies are safer, and a rising tide really lifts all boats.”
